Neurodiversity & Assessments
5. How do I know if my child is neurodivergent?
You might notice your child learns, communicates, or handles situations differently than other children their age. This can include challenges with social skills, attention, sensory responses, or learning. Every child is unique, so signs may vary.
6. What types of neurodevelopmental differences do you support?
I support children with:
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
 -
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
 -
Specific Learning Disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia)
 -
Intellectual Disabilities (ID)
 -
Speech and Communication Disorders
 -
Motor Coordination Difficulties
 -
Other neurodevelopmental needs

7. Can you help identify if my child is neurodivergent?
I can help you understand your child’s strengths and challenges and guide you on the next steps. For a formal diagnosis, a full psychological assessment by a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist is necessary. Early support makes a big difference.
8. What does it mean if my child is “twice-exceptional” (2E)?
Twice-exceptional (2E) children have both high abilities in some areas and difficulties in others. For example, a child may be very creative or good at math, but struggle with reading or social interactions. Their strengths can sometimes hide their challenges, so spotting both is important.
